Before we get to the list, there are somethings you should keep in mind while planning your trip to Orlando. Number one thing is the weather and time of the year. The weather is mostly warm throughout the year, however, there are cooler months too where the temperature does drop down to single digits. Rainfall is abundant during the summer months, so plan accordingly.
DRESSES
Dresses are a must in your packing list to Orlando. Temperatures tend to stay in the 90s or higher, consistently, during the day in summers and low 80s in the evenings. Not a big change! You can practically live in your dresses here. Having said that, here are some type of dresses that I recommend you bring along.
Sun Dresses
This is going to be the most important clothing item in your luggage. If you are planning to be outdoors for any sort of activity, you want to be as comfortable as possible in the hot and humid weather. Think lightweight, flowy or loose fitting style fabrics. A sundress is perfect for that without having to compromise on style. Here are some options that I recommend: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4.
Short Dresses
I like the option of wearing shorter dresses especially when I want to show off some legs and remain cool in the heat or wear to a fun night out! Check out some of my favorites: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5.
Maxi Dresses
Maxi dresses are a great option for day and night, hot and cold weather. Bring something lightweight or strapless for warmer days and a full sleeved, ribbed fabric for the cold weather. Here are some options: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5.
TOPS
Crop Tops
Bring a cute crop top to go with shorts or your favorite skirt. I like wearing something similar while visiting the theme parks. Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5.
Lightweight T-shirts
If crop tops are not your thing, then go for a lightweight t-shirt that fits well but at the same time is roomy enough for some breathing space. Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5.
Tank Tops
I feel like a tank top is a staple in every closet which can be worn for a day or night time look. Here are a few of my favorite day time tank tops: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5. Here are some for night time looks: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3.
BOTTOMS
Whether you are a shorts, skirt or pants type of gal, it is extremely important to pick the right type of bottoms. I say carry minimal jeans and instead go for bottoms that can styled in different ways. Here are some of my favorite pants: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5. Favorite shorts: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4. Favorite skirts: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4.
SWIMWEAR
You are going to want to bring your favorite swimwear as you will be spending a lot of time at the beach or pool. In addition, a cute coverup is a must! I recommend bring at least 2-3 options, depending on the length of your stay. I am a big fan of purchasing my swimwear from Amazon, you can literally find 100s of options on the site. These are some of the swimsuits I own: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4. Coverups: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5.
SHOES
Make sure to bring comfy and cute sandals or sneakers for the day time and heels for the nights. You won’t be doing a lot of walking on uneven grounds during the evenings, so high heels are okay. For the day time, visiting the theme parks require a LOT of walking and standing on your feet, like hours and hours, so make sure they are your tried and tested pair of comfortable shoes. I recently purchased these Sorel sandals and practically live in them! Check them out here. Here are some other options that I recommend to add to your summer Orlando packing list: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5, Option 6.
ACCESSORIES
Let’s not forget some important accessories such as a beach hat, sunglasses, handbag, etc. This foldable beach hat is one of my most used item. Check out some other options here: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3.
I also recommend carrying a sturdy backpack while visiting the theme parks so you can enjoy the experience hands-free. Here are some options: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3. Beach bag options: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3. Check out some of my favorite sunglasses here: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3.
OTHER
Lastly, don’t forget some of these other miscellaneous essentials such as sunblock, a fast drying beach towel, waterproof phone case, and reusable water bottle. Having said that, you can always stop by a local store and pick any of the above mentioned items, just in case you forget to pack them.
