It’s located in Isla Verde, a lively yet laid-back beachfront neighborhood just minutes from the airport. The vibe? Tropical elegance with serious attention to detail, and that signature Ritz-level polish in everything from the linens to the lighting.

What I loved most was the spa, I got a deep tissue massage that melted away every bit of travel stress. It was dark, cool, and quiet, like stepping into another world. The pool area is equally dreamy, lined with palm trees and cabanas, and the beach is wide, soft, and perfect for lazy morning strolls. And don’t even get me started on the mojitos by the beach, fresh mint, lime, sunshine. It was vacation in a glass.

The highlight here? The food! I had dinner at their on-site restaurant, Aleli, and it was genuinely one of my favorite meals in Puerto Rico. The pool bar also serves up the best fish tacos and guava margaritas, ideal for a midday pool break.

One afternoon I just rode a bike down the nature trail with the breeze in my hair and no agenda, it was perfect. The service is beyond five-star, the rooms are spacious and luxurious, and the nature here is unreal.

Sylvia’s Airbnb in Ocean Park

Last but definitely not least, if you’re more of a budget traveler or just want a cozy, homey vibe, I loved staying at an Airbnb hosted by Sylvia. It’s in Ocean Park, only 15 minutes from the airport and literally one block from the beach. The boho-themed room had everything I needed, from beach towels to a comfy queen bed, and there was even breakfast every morning.

What really stood out was Sylvia herself. She greeted me at 3:00 a.m. (bless her) and made me feel like a friend rather than a guest. The communal kitchen was fully stocked, there was a cozy little garden to sit in, and I even got access to amenities at a nearby hotel called Dreamcatcher. Her two dogs, Maga and Malda, were like little tour guides with wagging tails.

It’s a great option if you’re traveling solo, on a budget, or just want a local experience with heart. The place felt relaxed, welcoming, and full of soul, and that’s a vibe you just can’t get from a big chain hotel.
