This post is a review of the Chateau Monfort, Milan hotel.
During my recent trip to Italy, I spent a couple of nights in the fashion capital of the world, Milan. I stayed at the Chateau Monfort hotel towards the end of my trip. I am going to share my review of the Chateau Monfort Milan hotel in this post. Keep on reading to find out if a stay at the Chateau Monfort is worth the $$$.
About the Hotel
Chateau Monfort is a 5 star luxury hotel located in the heart of Milan. It is about a 10 minutes drive to the Duomo Cathedral. This upscale art nouveau hotel is housed in a building from the early 20th century. The whimsical rooms have been inspired by famous operas and books. They are equipped with free wi-fi, tvs, minibars, and coffee stations to ensure a comfortable stay.
Location
Chateau Monfort is conveniently located in the heart of the city. It is less than 2 miles from the Duomo Cathedral. Access to public transportation is pretty easy. The concierge also arranged a taxi at my request to the airport which is roughly an hour away from the hotel.
There also some good restaurants and local stores within walking distance of the hotel. The Milan Centrale train station is about 1.5 miles from the hotel and I was able to comfortably walk this distance, without any luggage.
The Room
First impressions of the room- gorgeous! Our room was perfectly decorated for a girls’ trip. I loved the color palette and every little detail. It gave fairytale vibes! The room was pretty spacious for a hotel room in Europe. I find most hotel rooms in Europe are a lot smaller compared to the ones in the U.S. or other international destinations that I have stayed at.
Apart from the aesthetics, the bed and pillows was very comfortable. After a long day of exploring, it felt amazing laying on a mattress that felt like a cloud! There was also a set of plush, snuggly robes and slippers in the closet and a full length mirror to check your outfit! This is a personal essential that I can not carry in my luggage.
The bathroom was very spacious too. There was a huge, soaker bathtub alongside large windows that overlooked the streets of Milan. (I suggest keeping the blinds shut while you soak in the tub). It had all the essentials such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hair dryer, etc.
Overall, I’d say that I loved the room I was in. It was spacious as well as functional. It had everything that I needed to make my stay comfortable and cozy.

Amenities
The room came with the essentials as mentioned above. The hotel also has an upscale spa, a breakfast buffet (which was amazing!), an indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym, an elegant lounge and wine bar. While I didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities, the breakfast buffet was a delight and the gym had all the equipment I needed for a workout while on my vacation. And yes, I do like to workout while on vacation too, makes me feel less guilty for having all those gelatos!

Conclusion
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Chateau Monfort, Milan. Sadly, I got to spend only one night there, however, I can’t wait to go back and stay longer. The customer service was impressive. I also enjoyed my breakfast at the restaurant which probably was the best breakfast of my trip.
I’d give my stay a 9/10 rating. If you are planning to visit Milan, Chateau Monfort is my top recommended hotel for your stay. I hope you find my review helpful and as always feel free to ask any questions about my stay at the Chateau Monfort.
