This post is a review of my recent stay at the Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection Dubai Marriott.
I traveled to Dubai last month and stayed at Marriott’s Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection Dubai. I wanted to stay close to Downtown Dubai without paying an arm and leg for a room. So the Autograph was my choice for this trip.
Being a Marriott rewards member came in handy as I was able to use my free night stay. I was pretty excited about that part aka I did not pay anything for a room which was over $250 for the night. ROOM
I loved the view from my room. I had a balcony that overlooked the pool and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard where I was able to catch glimpses of the Dubai marathon. Pretty cool! Having said that, there were a couple of things about that were iffy about the room layout.
Firstly, I appreciate hotel rooms that have a separate toilet but this one in particular had a wonky sliding, glass door that wouldn’t shut fully. So much for privacy! Secondly, the shower door didn’t shut properly either. Seems like some maintenance was needed in the room. For the price of my stay, I did expect better upkeep of the rooms.
Having said that, the bathroom did have a separate shower and a bathtub, for those looking for a relaxing bath at the end of the evening.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Upon arrival, valet greeted us and quickly helped unload my luggage. My check in/out experience was pretty smooth. The staff was very friendly in general. The one thing I’d like to point out is the delay in receiving my luggage to my room. I am talking 45+ minutes after being told it’ll be up in 5 minutes. I had to call twice to ask for it. I was trying to get ready quickly to head out for the day and I needed my luggage for it.
CONCLUSION
Overall, I’d give a 6/10. I loved the overall ambiance, check in/out experience, valet car service and the location, of course. The room layout was a little funky. I loved the view from my balcony though. I was able to catch glimpses of the Dubai Marathon right from my balcony.
I’d say my stay at the Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection Dubai Marriott was decent and would recommend it for its prime location and customer service.
