Hello all! Today I am sharing my review on Emirates airlines business class. I flew in business class for the first time from Dubai to Amman. It was a rather short flight, just under 3 hours. This was my second flight in 24 hours. The first was a 14 hours non-stop flight from Orlando to Dubai in Emirates economy class. You can check out my review on Emirates airlines economy class below.
BAGGAGE POLICY
The baggage policy for first and business class is slightly different than the economy class. You are allowed 2 pieces of luggage, 70lbs each, as compared to the 50lbs limit for economy class. The 70lbs is pretty generous, in my opinion. Having said that, since I was traveling in economy class and business class, I kept my luggage under 50 lbs.
Keep in mind, the baggage allowance might be different depending on your destinations. Click here to read about their most up-to-date baggage policy.
IN-FLIGHT MEALS
Gourmet meals in the sky! An absolute luxurious experience that makes the price worth the money. It honestly felt like there was a chef in-flight, cooking fresh meals from some of the best ingredients you can find. Even on such a short flight, the quality was not once compromised and the selection of food and beverages offered was scrumptious.
Below is the menu that was offered in my flight. Yes, all of this was offered during my 3 hours flight from Dubai to Amman. I went with the chicken and herb ragour dish for lunch which was delicious.

- Hot drinks- Coffee and tea
- From the bar- Range of red and white wine, beer, spirits and liquors

- Fruit and snack bars- Available between meal services

- Appetizer- Fresh seasonal fruit

CUSTOMER SERVICE/INFLIGHT EXPERIENCE
You definitely get a more white glove experience here. From the moment you are seated, you are offered a choice of champagne, cocktail or non-alcoholic drink, plus a warm towel to freshen up, all before takeoff. The flight attendant comes back to collect your cups before take off, due to safety reasons. A little after take-off, service resumes and you are offered drinks and snacks (assortment of nuts). What stood out to me was the high quality food ingredients used in each drink/meal. Trust me when I tell you, the mint leaves in a mojito have never been so fresh and flavorful.
Before meal service began, 2 flight attendants came to set up your dining table/tray! I mean they brought out a white table cloth, utensils, etc. I was just impressed. This level of service continued throughout the flight. Overall, the customer service was excellent and top notch.

Few other things to note here, the pricing for Business class is generally triple the price of economy class, depending on the destination, of course. It is higher for longer flights. For context, my flights from Orlando to Dubai range from $750- $1000 roundtrip, flying mainly off-season. Business class for these same flights start at $5000+ roundtrip. Now, if you are lucky, you might get the occasional offer email to upgrade your seats for a discounted rate. Emirates Airlines usually sends these out 2-3 days before the scheduled flight. I have never come across an upgrade offer for first class though. Upgrading using credit card rewards is another great option, actually the best option in my opinion.
The inflight entertainment was the standard offered across all the Emirates flights. They have an extensive collection of movies and shows in several different languages. You can literally spend hours and hours watching your favorite shows or the latest movies being shown.
As far as the seats are concerned, you can see from the above picture, they are a lot more spacious than the seats in economy. These seats do stretch out to become a flat bed like option where you can lie down comfortably. You are also provided a plush blanket and pillow for added comfort.
CONCLUSION– EMIRATES AIRLINES BUSINESS CLASS REVIEW
Overall, my review on Emirates airlines business class is that it is absolutely amazing and definitely worth the money. If you are lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade, good for you! I had to pay out of pocket and definitely recommend it. I would love to fly in business class for one of my longer flights, such as a 14-hours non-stop from Orlando to Dubai, but till then I shall continue flying economy class with Emirates airlines.
I have yet to fly Emirates, but have heard such great things! And business class sounds like a dream! Hope to get to enjoy it someday!
I’ve heard nothing but great things about flying Emirates airlines business class. Awesome that you had a similar experience. Those in-flight means and the customer service sound amazing.
We have only flown Emirates once and were very impressed. The customer service was indeed a white glove experience. A complementary upgrade to Business Class would be a real treat.
Wow, looks like such a great experience! I would love to try this at least once.
What a beautiful experience! If traveling international, this looks like a great option. Hoping we could score an upgrade offer too!
How luxurious! Looks like you get quite a lot for the extra expense.
