So you booked that flight and hotel to Las Vegas, and now you are wondering what should you pack for the trip? Let me help a bit…firstly you want to figure out what the weather is going to be like. Remember it is not always warm and sunny in Vegas, they get occasional snow too! Continue reading my post packing list for summer Las Vegas trip.

Next, what are you planning to do while you are there? Pools? Outdoor activities? Going out? Next, how long are you there for? Lastly, how much luggage can you take? Once you have figured this out, you now have a better understanding of what you should bring with you on this trip. Here is my suggested packing list for Vegas.
Again what you pack will vary on how many days and what time of the year you are planning to travel to. Vegas is known for it’s pool parties and sunshine, however, the winters get cold too! Whether you are heading to Vegas for a girls’ trip, music festival or to relax, I have put together some general things that you will need to carry with you to Vegas during a summer trip.
1. T-SHIRTS
You are going to be in the heat, a lot! Bring some comfy, lightweight t shirts that you can wear with shorts, skirts or to go to hiking. These can be styled in several different ways, so bring a couple of extras. Definitely an essential when packing for a summer in Vegas. Some of my favorite ones are: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4.
2. DRESSES
I love wearing dresses regardless of the season, short, maxi length or in the winter with tights. They are easy to pack and don’t require much outfit planning. I’d say take at least 3 dresses if you are going for less than a week. Here are some day and night time options: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4, Option 5, Option 6.
3. BOTTOMS
Skirts, shorts or pants, whatever you are comfortable in. Sure you can pack some jeans, but trust me when I say this, you will not want to touch them when you are in 115 degrees F weather. My advice shorts, lightweight skirts or pants are going to be your best friend. Skirts– Option 1, Option 2, Option 3. Shorts– Option 1, Option 2, Option 3. Pants– Option 1, Option 2, Option 3. I recommend taking 3-4 bottoms which you can mix & match.
4. SHOES
Okay, let’s be honest here for a min…how many shoes do you typically travel with? 1-5 or more than 5? I won’t judge if you are shoe addict! Sandals for the pool, and comfy walking shoes, that’s what you will need for this trip. Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4
5. SWIMWEAR
The best part of packing, your swimwear. Whether you are a 1 piece or a bikini set type of gal, I suggest carrying at least 2-3 different ones to change up your looks. Vegas is all about that swimsuit life at the pools, so make sure you bring your best pieces that make you feel like a queen in them! Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4
6. SUNSCREEN
No matter where you travel, never forget your sunscreen! No one wants to deal with sunburns after their first day in the sun. I usually travel with a stick option as it is perfect for face & body and then usually purchase a spray bottle at my destination. Option 1– a stick option for face & body, Option 2– travel packets.
7. SUNGLASSES
Don’t forget the essential accessories to finish off your summer outfits! Sunglasses are a must on my trips. I usually have a variety of 2-3. Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4
8. HAT
Another summer trip essential. Keep the sun off your face and look stylish in one of these hats. Option 1, Option 2, Option 3
9. TOWEL
This is an optional item as most hotels provide towels, some even by the pools. However, if you are picky like me, I recommend carrying a quick drying one which usually are lightweight and don’t take up much space in your luggage. Option 1, Option 2
10. COVER UPS
A cute cover up is a must for me. You won’t ever catch me in a hotel lobby, walking around in a towel while trying to get to the pool. Nope! Even if you take just one, don’t overlook this! Option 1, Option 2, Option 3
11. TRAVEL PILLOW
This is an absolute must for me, otherwise I leave my flight with a cramp in my neck. Until I can afford traveling in first or business class, a pillow saves my life especially during those long flights. I probably have 4-5 of these lying around my house, don’t ask me why! Here are my recommendations: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4.
12. PACKING CUBES
These surely changed my packing game! This is how I am able to travel mostly with a carry on only. They help you keep everything organized in your luggage. You should definitely get one of these. Option 1.
13. MAKEUP BAGS
Whether you are minimalist or glam girl, every woman needs a makeup bag to go with her style. Traveling is no exception. Again depending on my luggage allowance, duration on my stay and the climate at my destination, I pack my makeup accordingly. I have gotten really good at packing only what I need, but I surely do have my moments where I end up taking 15 different lipsticks for a weekend trip because I girl gotta have some options, right? Are you that girl too? Or do you only pack what you need? Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4.
14. SKINCARE
Don’t go on a trip without this. You want to take care of your skin even while you are traveling. I am a fan of the Clinique and Origins products. Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4.
15. PORTABLE PHONE CHARGER
Who doesn’t need one? If you don’t already own a portable phone charger, get one now! No more worrying about charging your phone in a remote location! Option 1, Option 2– this one is solar charger.
